How to Change the Calender in Primavera in the middle of the project

Hi, Lets see How we can change the Calendar once the schedule is prepared. As per the Scheduling Philosophy, Calendar has to be set before beginning the schedule preparation. To set the Default calendar, Step 1: Go to Enterprise>>Calendars, Step 2: Tick the Calendar which you want to make it default, Step 3: If you want to further change the timings and work weeks, click on Modify Step 4: Click on Work Weeks and Change the Time periods for the work hours in the default calendar Step 5: After Creating th Schedule, in the middle of the schedule, if you want to change the calendar  for the activities that you enter further, Go to Details tab>>Defaults Tab>> It will show the default calendar, if you want to change the calendar, select the calendar clicking the bubble. How to Duplicate a Layer,Merge two photos in Photoshop

Step 1: Open thr First Photo ----Here i am opening "Aishwarya's Photo" Step 2: Open the Second Photo---Here my second pic is of "Kareena's Photo" Step 3: In the Second (kareena's Pic), In the Layers window at the right bottom of the screen. Right click on the layer and Select Duplicate layer Option Step 4: In the Duplicate Layer Window, in the Destination document select the first Photo on to which you would like to duplicate this photo, here it is "Aishwarya" Step 5: Then you will see the Second Pic " kareena" on to the first pic "Aishwarya". Click Ctrl+T to adjust the angle,size of the pic you have selected and adjust both the pictures by selecting the respective layers.. Export Schedule from Primavera P6 to Excel

Lets see How to export the P6 Schedule in to Excel in an easy way. Step 1: First Open the schedule and go to Activities layout, Which you have set with your desired filters and columns Step 2: Right Click on any activity and Select the " Export to Excel " Option from the menu Step 3: Save the File on to your system Step 4: Re arrange the column widths for better visibility and Edit the Excel sheet and Re-Import into Primavera, whenever it is required. By doing this way, it saves a lot of time rather than going by File>> Export option, there you have to set the layout and template for exporting which takes a lot of time everytime Here is a video of the same for better understanding. Claim Digger for Comparing two Schedules in Primavera

You can Compare the schedule with an original schedule to know the changes made. You can use the claim digger function for this to extract a report either in html or CSV File format. Here is the Detailed Step wise explanation on How to Use the Claim Digger Function Step 1: Go to Tools>> Claim Digger Step 2: Select the Current Revised Schedule in the Left Side and the Baseline/Original Schedule in th Right Side of the window. Click OK after selecting the schedule. Step 3: Click on Advance Tab, to select the type of data that you would like to compare in the two schedules After Selecting the type of Data, Click on OK Step 4: Now, Select the Format in to which you would like to extract the report. Drag and Drop

Instead of Cut and Paste You can use the Drag and Drop function in primavera which saves lot of time. If you would like to move one Item from One branch of hierarchy to other, just place your curser at the left corner of the band,left click on the vertical band and release the mouse at the desired place where you would like to place the item You can move the Projects from One EPS level to another You can move activities from One WBS to  other and even resources from one activity to another in the Resources Tab Video Illustrating Further is shown  below Back to Primavera>>
